Project Bantu Philippines is a social intervention program that uses the Afro-Brazilian art of Capoeira Angola to help vulnerable, at-risk young people achieve positive social outcomes, improvements in behaviour, developments in self-esteem and other important skills and traits that they will need to succeed in school, in their communities and eventually in the workplace. The Project does this by taking the physical and musical traditions, philosophy and the history of Capoeira Angola and translating them into meaningful, structured activities and learning experiences for young people.
